Tabbouleh: Automatically Close Duplicate Tabs in Chrome
Tabbouleh is a minimalistic extension for Google Chrome that aims to improve your browsing experience by automatically closing duplicate tabs. With this extension, you no longer have to worry about cluttering your browser with multiple tabs of the same website.
When a new tab is detected with the exact same URL as an existing tab in the current window, Tabbouleh will automatically close the new tab and switch you to the already open tab. This feature takes into account the tab's group, so it will only close the new tab if it either doesn't belong to a group or if it's a duplicate of another tab in the same group. Additionally, the new tab will only close if it's a duplicate of a tab located to its left.
The extension offers a convenient way to enable or disable its functionality via the extension menu. You can easily control whether Tabbouleh should automatically close duplicate tabs or not, depending on your preference. Furthermore, you can close all duplicate tabs in the current window by simply clicking a button in the extension menu. This feature also considers the tab's group, ensuring that only duplicate tabs within the same group are closed.
